One Fine Day

Life and Style in Southern CA

Hello friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We just wrapped up my sister's baby shower, and I love the way it turned out! We had a really great time with some of our closest friends and family, and I wanted to share some of our decor. We mixed in the baby theme with Christmas - detailing everything below!

Pink Nutcracker & Pink & Gold Bottle Brush Tree (both on sale),
Large Gold and Small Gold Mercury Glass Trees,
Large Silver and Small Silver Mercury Glass Trees,
White trees,  LED String Lights

Guest Book, Candle and Similar Candle, Candle Pillar from B&BW, Similar Here
Gold Bottle Brush Tree, Pink Bottle Brush Tree,
Large Gold and Small Silver
Mercury Glass Trees

Table Skirt
I think you'll be surprised to find that most of the shower decor came from Amazon in this party box for about $25! My mom and I were in charge of putting this shower together (and my dad was also a HUGE help), and we had never planned a shower before. I didn't know where to begin! I started looking for ideas on Pinterest, and from there I figured out what I wanted in accordance with the theme Megan had in mind. Luckily, this pack had TONS of balloons, signs, a "mommy-to-be" sash, even a bingo game! We built the balloon arch ourselves - it was actually pretty easy thanks to the instructions, and I love the way it looks.

Garland, Candle Holders (25% off through Monday),
Similar Large and Small Lanterns, TV (on sale!)

Flocked 6" Tree ($35), Tree Skirt, Wall Clock (25% off - rarely goes on sale)

Large Silver and Small Silver Mercury Glass Trees,
Similar Gold Tray, Deer Ornament

Keurig, Artificial Tree, Similar Bird,
Similar Hot Water Dispenser, Similar Lined Wicker Basket

2-Gallon Dispenser

We wanted to make the coffee station part of the party since it was so chilly outside - it didn't get warmer than 48 degrees that day! We had a basket with a variety of K-cups and hot chocolate packets, as well as the Keurig and a hot water dispenser so everyone could make themselves a hot beverage. We also had a 2-gallon pitcher that I found at Target (only $12!) that was perfect for lemonade. The patterned straws came with the party pack I mentioned earlier. Also not pictured here is the food table - I wish I had got a photo of it, but I ran out of time before the shower began.

Pink Dress, Sandals, Pearl Clip

The last thing I wanted to share is my pink dress that I wore with these sandals - I almost wore something else because of the weather, but since the house was crowded and I was running around talking and hosting I was perfectly warm! It is the cutest little dress that's perfect for a shower....the shiny silver heart pattern along with the fairy-like sleeves are so adorable! Wearing the XXS. On sale too :) Oh! And I can't forget to highlight this Christmas tree. This is the one I keep in the Cloffice, but since we didn't have one out in the living room yet I thought it would be pretty for the party. Find most of my tree decor here.

As for some personal photos, I didn't get many with Megan...but here are a few!

The shower was so nice - I can't believe it's already over! If you have any questions, please let me know ❤️

Cowl Neck Sweater ($16) / Wool Coat / Baker Cap / Purse / Boots /

We're halfway through the week, and I've got some great Christmas gift ideas to share with you today! I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about designer dupes/ripoffs - I personally love them. While of course I prefer the original, I'm all in for something that looks like the real deal but is a fraction of the price.  Today's feature is this Gucci Bee Bag replica. If you're unfamiliar with the original, here it is for $2,000+. The one I'm wearing is under $30!

Another gift option is my tried & true J.Crew wool coat, which is the best coat I have ever owned. It's heavy, but not too heavy, and insulates warmth really nicely. I love the fur around the hood too! I also love the length - I am 5"4 and it comes a couple of inches above my knees. I am in the 00. Also comes in a shorter version (on sale for $69) and a hoodless version. Any of these would make SUCH a nice Christmas gift!

Lastly, you've seen this Walmart Cowl Neck Sweater around here before - in case you haven't, it's only $16 and is a great layering piece. Love it with faux leather leggings and boots!

Anyway - I am in serious denial that Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow. I've been walking around thinking I still had a good 2-3 weeks hahah! Not good! I am getting SO excited for all the holidays though. Talk to you soon!

Good morning, everyone! One of my favorite things in life is a good Amazon find - and this striped sweater is definitely a good one. It's cozy, it fits me just how I like it, and the color combination is perfect for fall. Speaking of favorites...you guys must try the new Cinnamon Cookie Latte at McDonald's. It is GOOD 😍

Find the rest of my outfit here: Boots, Bag, Hat, similar Jeans

Do you like how I took these photos in front of Farmer Boys with my Mcd's cup in hand?? Lololll. I actually have some more Amazon sweaters that have been collecting in my cloffice over the past couple of weeks btw. In case you didn't know, my dad had a heart attack and was in the hospital for several days. I was pretty much completely away from the blog and my social channels during that time....it was the most terrifying week of my life. Thank God he is okay for now :) I'm going to do a roundup of them so you can access all of them in one post! Thanks for stopping by 😘

Hi friends!! I hope you all had a fantastic halloween 😊 I've been waiting all week to share this try-on with you. I meant to post this earlier in the day, but I was waiting on the last couple of items to get delivered haha. I tried to list any details I thought you might need, especially with sizing. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments! And don't forget, you can always find this try-on in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. It's a free app that you can download, and if you search my profile "heysweetkay" you can instantly shop all my outfits from there! Let's do this:

Blush Pink Trainers ($9.98) and White Thermal Top ($8.88)

I've shared this thermal before in the leopard print, but it's only $8 and is a great basic. Love it for layering under cardigans, vests, or sweaters. I'm wearing a size S. It looks like these are only available in-store as of today, but hopefully they'll be available for ordering soon.

I think everyone needs a pair of these mesh shoes for ten bucks!! I wouldn't say they pass the Disneyland test, meaning they're not built for a long day of walking. I took them there on Halloween and definitely felt like I needed more support. BUT! They are super lightweight with memory foam insoles, so you just can't beat that for the price. I always have to have some kind of slippers or shoes on, so I find these are perfect for wearing around the house, running to the store, and things like that. I'm dying to get the leopard pair, too!

I'm sorry this vest isn't from Wal-Mart, but I had to share because it's awesome and is on sale for $14 today with code SWEET. I'm wearing size XS. Find my leggings here and my Adidas hat here.

Skinny Jeans ($16) Pointelle Cardigan ($18) Thermal ($8) Blush Pink Sneakers ($16) Leopard Cami ($10.33)

First things first: the cardigan 😍 I absolutely love the pink color, and it's just the right amount of oversized. It's so cozy - I can't believe it's not even $20!! I got the size S. I wore it with my leopard cami that I've shared here before.

Next are the jeans. When I ordered these, I went up a size based on reviews. Everyone claimed that they run very small, but I wish I had ordered my regular size. Well, I should say I wish I had ordered a size 2...their sizing begins at 2, then 4, 6, and so on. I typically wear a 0 in jeans, so I need to exchange mine for a 2. The 4's are too big in the waist and the legs. Anyway, they are only $16, and I really, really like them. They're comfortable, stretchy, and I like the distressed detailing.

These shoes are sooo good! They're a basic sneaker with memory foam insoles. I will say they were slightly stiff straight out of the box. I broke them in around the house for a couple of hours, and they adjusted nicely. I took my normal size, and they fit just right - my toe is nearly touching the front. If you like your shoes a little roomier, go up a half size. Keep in mind I have a narrow foot, and these still work for me.

Velour Pajama Set ($19.94) and Bed Jacket ($12.97)

These next couple of pieces are going next because they're my faaaavorite jammies :) They are SO so soft!! I wish you could feel the softness through your screen! You can also buy the joggers separably here for $9.98. Wanted to note that these run large - I normally go up a size in PJs for comfort, but these are very baggy & loose on me in the size S. They would make a great gift, especially paired with this cozy $12 bed jacket. I've mentioned the bed jacket before, but I can't stress enough just how great it is. It's basically a blanket with sleeves (and pockets!) and is such a good price. You can't really tell in the photos, but the first one is the blush color and the second one (the last photo) is the tan color. Wearing size S.

Waffle Button-Front Top ($12)

This top is a MUST have - it's the perfect casual top for cooler weather and is only $12! It also comes in gray, which I love too. I got the S and it fits great.

Cowl Neck Sweater ($16)

Love this sweater so much - it's more of a tunic and pairs perfectly with leggings and boots! Also love it with jeans. I have room underneath to layer a lightweight long-sleeve, which is nice for when it's colder. It's not bulky, so you can easily wear a heavy jacket on top without feeling like you're drowning.

Find my leggings here and my boots here.

By the way, I'm having major issues with my Instagram account as I'm sure most of you know. IG is famous (or rather...infamous!) for hiding content. This past week my engagement has taken a major hit, and only about 1/3 of my audience has seen my posts and stories. Now I realize this is not your problem so I don't want to go on and on hahah...but I just wanted to explain why I'm going to be off the app through the weekend. Apparently the only remedy is to take a break from all interactions (posting, storying, liking, commenting, etc), so that's what I'm doing.
